What the heck is this?? It couldn't be...

Yes, this actually is a blog devoted to the Kevin and Bean Show on KROQ in Los Angeles! It recaps the show on a daily basis (ideally). I hope it gives a good general feel of each segment, with funny quotes I happen to catch (when I'm not laughing my ass off), descriptions, and links to relevant websites and news. Whether you can't listen to a segment you wanted to hear, or live out-of-town, hopefully it will help.

Why, oh God, why??

1. I lived away from L.A. for about 3 years, and missed the show more than anything else in LA. When I moved back, I started this for other K&B fan ex-pats, and it seems to be useful for them. "Morning radio here in [insert other city] sucks!" is a comment I hear a lot, and sympathize with!

3. Rant warning: Methinks the K&B Show gets no respect from the radio industry. In a survey by the folks at L.A. Radio People that they once hilariously brought up in a segment, of the top LA radio personalities in history, our boys weren't even in the top 50. No, they ain't NPR, but the fact that they've consistently finished near the top of the largest market in the U.S., in the most competitive time slot (L.A. drive-time), on a niche-format station with weak-ass power for 15 YEARS, is a testatment to their fresh, funny, kick-ass show. Also, they talk about boobies. Ok, that's all, sorry.

3. I love archiving and cataloging things. I worked in the library world for awhile.

Who are you?

Just a fan. I happen to have the good fortune of working from home, on the Internet, which allows me to listen and post while I go on about working (supposedly). I could always use help from other contributors, so feel free to contact me, if interested!

What are those numbers in front of each segment?

Hours and minutes into the show (based on a starting time of 5:30am). In case you, you know, happen to come across a recording of the show or something...

Maybe I am missing it, but I had heard that someone is recording the show and you can download it to listen to....

This is the greatest blog in the world and the only one I care about.

I'm an L.A. native and KROQ listener for more years than I care to admit. I recently had the misfortune of being relocated to Tucson, AZ, land of a million mullets. I was planning on having a friend pick up my annual KROQ calendar and CD for me this year, but, ACK, there wasn't one. Can you tell me why? I've emailed KROQ, but no response. Did get a reply from Lisa May that Bean hates the Baby Jesus, which had me laughing for hours, but can someone tell me the REAL reason? As if it's not bad enough being without Kevin and Bean, now no calendar to get me through this year in hell.
