5/7/07 - Nick, Bob Dylan Sings to Kids, and Stringy Weenie

posted Monday, 7 May 2007

Sorry, I missed almost the entire show today.  Please post if you heard anything interesting.

Listen to any of today's segments at the Kevin and Bean Archive, here.

Some of the other segments from the show that Skimbo did not get to hear included....
President Bush repeated from Friday's show
De La Hoya- Mayweather fight discussed with the gang
AfroCalls
Suburban Virgin, the MTV reality show that Nick will be on, had a casting call in Huntington Beach, and the KROQ microphones were there.
Alyson Hannigan-from How I Met Your Mother stayed for two breaks.
ListenerEmail and more talk about the fight rounded off the show today. It's a little later than normal for me but the audio is up on my archive site and you can  hear anything you missed.
Thanks, Kevin

7:10 - Nick's New Drive in Life...and Reality Show Gig!
Repeated from Friday's show.

7:50 - Ralph Character: Bob Dylan Sings to a Kindergarten Class
Parents of kids at a kindergarten class in Calabassas have recently been reporting that a "scary, creepy guy" has been coming to sing to them.  It turned out it was Bob Dylan, whose grandkid is in that class! Bob called in to confirm it, and gave samples of what him singing children's songs would sound like. Turned out the poor kids had a right to be scared.

9:10 - Game: Stringy Weenie

For tickets to this year's KROQ Weenie Roast, listeners had to identify songs by KROQ bands played by a string quartet.
